I also got a little work on Lilly today. Here are some pics of the sanded, primed, then painted steering tube and its mounting plate.

Had a pretty cool day today, Judi and I went to the Bus thingy at the museum, we ran into Lonny, Tommy, Dawn, Robert, Lita and Greg and Kids. I know that Lonnys wife was there but did not get to say Hi. Came home about 2:30 and Andy and his son Gred came by. Andy swapped out his dual muffler system for a single that I had. We also screwed around with his carb and got the bus to idle. Lita came by and handled the key end of the project, starting the bus when needed. I also built the bitchen VW BBQ that Judi and I won at the Ranch run rally. We took first!!! Whooo Hooo. Check it out.

Some of those pictures are sideways... drunken

Just thought I would point out the obvious.

Seriously right, I am with you.

Once I figured out it was sideways, I then thought it was one of those poles that went in the back and you could have some 'talented' people dance around it. I had to go back and actually READ the descriptions.

Dang cocktails are dangerous when Breck decides to be lazy with his posting and not rotate his pictures properly...

No progress as of late due to the Pete lowering project. I need to get on with it. I want to drive it to a rocket launch in October. I am tired of sleeping on the ground!!

Ok, that answered my question on the "help" thread! LOL You can look at mine at BOR if you are going, or we can try to figure out a time and day for me to bring mine over to your place. Or, you can look and take pictures at Tech Day. Very Happy

Well I bought this bus today. Already installed a few parts i had from a parts bus i have. reverse lights are on as is a new glove box door and latch for the rear hatch. Pulled the motor so i can pull the gas tank out and clean it as the gas stinks that is in it . Gonna replace the shifter as the 1 on it is bent and will put bus rims and tires on it from the parts bus. Also gonna install a bus tranny that i have. Since the original wiper arms are missing and a 1 year only part and expensive i will be putting a wiper motor from the 70 as i have wiper arms for it already. Also gonna clean up the wiring . I will be driving this to Buses By The Bridge in Lake Havasu, Az. next January so i have some time to do the welding on the front floor and lower nose.THANKS AGAIN BRECK

Wow, I didn't know you were wanting to sell the bus Breck?

Well, Congrats to you tubdub! If you need the templetes for some of the roof and sides, let me know. I saved what I had for Breck and you are more then welcome to them. PM me if you want to come get them. If not I am probably toss them.

Congrats again and I hope you keep the thread alive with your progress! Very Happy

Your welcome Tub, Kim Lilly had a little more welding work than I wanted to deal with. I will be looking latter this year for a decent driver.

If you're willing to let that type 4 tranny go, I may be interested. If so, I would like my license plate frame back as well, lol.
