Here's the deal with the lights on my Bug:
The headlights and tail lights work with the engine off, and running.
The turn signals, brake lights, and emergency flashers work with the engine off, and running. I changed the wires to the fuse box so they flash in the correct directions.
None of the turn signals work when the lights are switched on.
I verified the wiring to the fuse box, to the emergency flasher switch and to the headlight switch.
What should I do next?

I also verified the connections to the dimmer relay and the flasher relay. They're right. The brights don't work either.

I'm wiring-retarded but hopefully Kyle will chime in here. He speaks wiring very well.

Go to the Samba they have a great wiring section. Look up your car and they have the diagrams I may be able to come over one night later in the week next week.

Sorry to be absent.
Most of the time, it's bad connections/corrosion.
Sockets and bulb bases mist be clan and tight, light fixtures properly grounded. (those little star washers are useful).
Sometimes lights appear to be working properly, but it's a bad ground feeding current through the wrong bulb filament, looking for ground!

Think of the current flow like liquid, and trying to get back to the battery.
Switches and relays are valves. After that, you just have to make sure the current path is unobstructed.
