PostSubject: BALL JOINTS   Wed May 04, 2011 12:10 pm

LARRY JUST STOPPED BY AND SAID HE WANTED TO GET HIS BALL JOINTS DONE WITH THE DROP SPINDLES. HES GOT $14 EA OR SO FOR THE JOINTS AT PFI THEN HE WENT TO REIBES AND THEY WANTED $35 EACH TO INSTALL THEM.

THAT IS OUT OF HIS PRICE RANGE.

ANYONE HAVE ANY OTHER IDEAS AND OR EXPERIENCES WITH THAT? MATT? I THINK YOU SAID YOU GOT SOME DONE RIGHT?

HE'LL BE BY LATER IN THE AFTERNOON TO CHECK UP. HE DOESNT GET ON THE COMPUTER

That is pretty much the pricing I found too.

I first went to Bugformance in Sac and they quoted me around 200 bucks for a set of reconditioned arms with new joints already pressed in. This included me turning in my used arms.

I thought they were really expensive, when the ball joints were around 15 bucks a piece.

But then I went around asking for pricing to get the old joints removed and the new ones pressed in and it was $30.00 to $40.00 per joint, and I wasn't even sure they knew that the ball joints needed to be pressed in a certain way.

So after adding everything all up, the Bugformance deal wasn't so bad.

I still have not made a decision as to what way to go, but it is definitely more than I was anticipating.

Shocked
