It's a fun gauge.  I get it, the more gauges the better.  Gauges are cool.  The thing to remember is they aren't very accurate. At best they provide a baseline and are an indicator of significant change.  In other words, if your dub usually runs around 450 degrees driving around town and all of a sudden it bumps up to 500 - 600 degrees, then there is probably something going on.  Most likely if you also run an oil temp gauge it will start to read high too.

If you hit your head with one of those infrared thermometers, the gauge will most likely be off a bit and only register large swings of change.  That has been my experience anyway...

The cool thing is the sensor is a ring that goes under the spark plug.  So, technically, you could have 4 sensors on a switch feeding a single gauge and you could get a reading on each cylinder.

Something to do while sitting in traffic...  afro

It is to run the engine on water. The article stated
that the engine would warm up on longer drives and you would need to
rest it for 15 min. or so. The gauge is the only way to keep an
eye on it.
